If I am attracted to a guy I would tell him I am attracted to him or would say he is hot or sexy. I would only use the phrase cutie for men I am not physically attracted to but appreciate their appearance.

Definitely trying to let you know her opinion on you. I'd say a little interested but wants you to know she thinks you're special in her book. She likes looking at you and you are appealing to her.

If she smiles with a twinkle in her eye when she says it, she's definately interested. I'd say that it was a subtle flirt and her way of dropping a hint. ;-) Go for it.
