So I have been trying to slim down recently and have been doing the following. I significantly changed my diet and have cut out almost all junk food, and now eat smaller portions. I have also been swimming laps at least once a day.
I have been doing this for about 3 weeks and haven't really noticed much change. I know it takes a while to lose weight but I need to see some sort of change to keep me motivated.
Also if anyone has any tips or things I could do different that would be great.
you might not lose any one week and drop three pounds the next. your body's tricky like that. my advice to you is to keep in mind that you WILL see results and that working out is just plain good for your body. when you stop concentrating on your body, the results will reveal themselves, trust me. I didn't even realize I lost 30 pounds until people were coming up to me like 'omg, you've lost so much weight'. I was wearing sweats and t-shirts for months while I worked out and it felt nice to be complimented, but it felt even better to know that I was getting HEALTHY and not just getting THIN. that's what your focus should be on. stay on this journey, it'll be well worth it in the end :)
It all depends on the persons body. I've been dieting and exercising for the past 3 months and have only lost 11 pounds. I know people that diet and exercise and can loose 11 pounds in a week. But I've also turned a lot of fat into muscle so the scale doesn't change much, but I've noticed a change in me. At first that might happen to you. Then after a while your weight will go down. I would change up your exercise routine. Do laps one day, then do running the next day, then do weight training the next day, or something like that. Don't do the same exercise every day. Don't give up. Just keep going at it. Eventually you will see results.
lots of water and fiber (2-3litres of water a day) minimum 30-60 min of exercise 5 days a week, eat junk food on the weekend just don't go crazy, and aim for 2-3lbs lost per week. anymore is dangerous and you will be losing muscle not fat
