Women gain weight during pregnancy but after giving birth can't seem to lose the weight. They blame it on the pregnancy or do women just give up on their self afterwards.
Anonymous(18-24)20 dThe body change and for some it becomes much harder to lost weight. For some they never had to think about their weight before kids and after they gain very easilly. Also, it’s very common that the body weight never goes back to the same level again but a few kg stay and won’t budge or if she manages to lose them bye hard diet and excersise they come back at ultra speed as soon as she eats normally again. It’s like the body fights to keep it. For some this change in body doesn’t happen until after 2nd or 3rd baby. Many times women will lose the weight easier and faster (although a few kg may still stick) after the first birth but after having had a few kids it’s common that it gets harder and harder to get rid of the weight. Then also add the hormonal affect of postpartum and breastfeeding, stress lf being a new parent, lack of sleep, maybe partner issues, no time or energy to woekout like before or eat like before and that also makes it more difficult to lose weight. But even all things the same it is harder for a lot of women to lose weight and stay in shape after having carried babies. The body also change in other ways. The hips get wider (after the baby went through) so even if she goes back to pre baby weight she often won’t fit into her pre baby clothes because the body shape has changed. The stomach often gets fatter and/or gets loose skin, boobs grow during pregnancy and breastfeeding and then when that’s over look empty and saggy, stretchmarks on but/boobs/stomach/legs, postpartum hairloss can be insane. Even womens feet and noses can grow during pregnancy. Skin issues (acne, wrinkles etc) can develop during or after pregnancy, women easier get cavities in their teeth during pregnancy. The vagina can look or feel different. Incontinence like peeing a little when laughing/coughing/sneezing/jumping/running etc is common in women who’s given birth (and it can be permanent flr the rest of their life). If they had a bad tear or cut while giving birth there can also be incontinence when it comes to poo/farts or affect how the butthole looks. Skin tags, skars, hemorrhoids etc. There’s so much bodily change going on during and after having kids.

Well, he wasn't pregnant with cravings of all different things to eat and HAD to have!
I gained almost 50 lbs when I was pregnant.
Just months after I had the baby my husband decided to abandon us.
So I lost my appetite and went down to 97 lbs. Is that skinny enough for ya?20 Reply
19 dMost women just get lazy after pregnancy and use it as an excuse for their weight gain. They'll guilt trip the hell out of you for even bringing it up, saying there's nothing they can do about it.
The women that do take their fitness seriously throughout life always look like bombshells.
And yes, body shape does change somewhat after pregnancy and that's fine. But being overweight is just an effort issue.00 Reply

There is a girl in the office who has lost lots of weight. She has had two kids. Her body is rocking now and even with my high standards I find her body attractive. Shame about the personality and face though...

19 dDepends on the follow-up Tx she gets and what she plans on doing to help herSELF after the big event.
00 Reply So the reality is that even if we snap back to our original weight we look a bit different in the hip area unless we do this VERY STRICT body wrap thing to reset the hips… which means not tending to the baby for the first 2-3 months (which no woman I’ve ever known has had the heart or capacity to do. But you’ll see actresses snap back bc they’re tied to the gym and then bound (or surgically assisted) to return to their girlish figures.
SOME women get sluggish metabolisms after and keep weight on no matter WHAT they do.02 Reply
19 dI've seen a lot of women going back to their normal weight after pregnancy. Some may take longer to get back tho. But let's not ignore than pregnancy completely alters your hormones and it can make loose weight a bit harder not to mention the way it affects your psych. There's also some women who completely let themselves go after giving birth because their priorities change.
The message I want to leave is to not be hard on pregnant and post partum moms. Giving birth can be a traumatic experience and post partum can be absolutely brutal on an emotional and psychological level, a supportive and patient Partner are very much needed.00 ReplyMan I injured my leg and put on weight during my recovery which is gonna be hard to shed.
And that’s without having a baby to deal with After I’m physically able to exercise again.
The weight gain is not permanent but lifestyle changes can have heavy impact00 Reply
20 dMetabolisms change after the first pregnancy. Human breast tissue is not protected against mutagenic changes until after the first pregnancy. Then Prolactin protects them. Your carbohydrate metabolism changes. it's focus from mate attracter to milk producer. You look at food and gain weight
00 Reply522 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. There is no such thing as "permanent weight gain"
In case you haven't noticed, after pregnancy - there is as additional kid to deal with. Those priorities take preference over self, and the lifestyle changes as a result.
It's why few athletes return to sport after having kids.

20 dIt doesn't have to be permanent.
My then-wife returned to her pre-pregnancy weight after giving birth to each of our three kids. It took about 6 months, but she did it, and I was very proud of her for doing it. She exercised and watched what she ate and drank. That better than I am.

19 dThere is no single "fat gene." Instead, scientists have identified over 400 different genes and genetic variants that influence body weight, appetite, and metabolism. Combined, genetics account for roughly 40% to 70% of your predisposition to obesity, though their exact influence varies greatly from person to person.
I already knew that. The fat shaming on this page is off the Richter scale.

Anonymous(25-29)20 dIt depends on the woman, some women snap back, some women don't. Some women have mental issues and health issues during pregnancy and giving labor. My mom got gestational diabetes and it stayed. Women lose teeth, become blind, tear, have heart attacks, and strokes go into comas, die. If her body decides to be stubborn with some body fat that would be the least of worries

Anonymous(25-29)20 dit really depends on the woman. some women don't gain much weight after pregnancy. some find it easy to lose weight after pregnancy. Some look really messed up after pregnancy though its less common. That's why its so important to have a man who loves you for who you are, rather than for him to love mostly your body.
00 ReplyThey don't gain permanent weight, it's just weightloss can be difficult especially if you're sleeping terribly and always stressed because of the newborn. A lot of women for some time let themselves go a bit because of the baby.
00 Reply2.9K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. A woman’s body actively fights to hold onto fat after giving birth. It isn't a failure of willpower; it is a survival mechanism driven by hormones and metabolic changes.

19 dThey can theoretically lose the weight but after giving birth, you typically have other priorities.

19 dA little bit of both depending on the person. Why are men so concerned about women’s weight? They never ask about men and their weight.

Kitty: both my own kids did not make me any heavier.
"We" are not so much concerned. It's just that slim is sexier to most of us. And to not ask about fellow-men's weight merely is out of heterosexuality.
Why would I inspect a man's body? 🫠 - 19 d
Because women don’t care about weight as much as men do and men be rude about a woman’s weight.
- 19 d
Sorry about that. I don't intend to be "rude".
It's just that presently... "heavy women" are not a predominant men's favourite.
Wokeness ignored, because it's a (con) temporary social construction only.
Some 'rudeness' is just clear communication from a man's point of view.
- 19 d
I don't 'condemn' overweight people. I just don't share their views on weight.
- 19 d
Sometimes men be saying a woman is overweight when she is not. What do you all like some chick that is really thin?
- 19 d
Peace ! 😄 I speak on my own behalf now...
I don't look for 'perfection', and both of my girlfriends show traces of having given birth. They just kept having an eye on their body.
"reaĺy thin" perhaps is my ideal. But I don't insist on it.
Well like for me i put on so much it was disheartening to try o get back "there"
