What do you think of evolution?

Believe in it, don't believe in it? Reasons why?

I believe that some things have evolved over a grand period of time but I also believe that there are some things that have done quite the opposite.Take,for example,a Smilodon(saber-toothed cat)Their canine teeth were about 28 cm (11 in) long in the largest species.Smilodon was more robustly built than any modern cat, comparable to a bear.Now,in modern days,you would never come across that.There is a sign of devolution.Until an even earlier candidate is found, paleontologists agree that the ultimate ancestor of all modern horses was Hyracotherium, a tiny (no more than 50 pounds), deer-shaped herbivore with four toes on its front feet and three toes on its back feet.As you can probably tell,horses have come a long way since then.They are much larger animals now.A sign of evolution.As for human evolution,I do not believe we evolved from primates.There may have been a primitive ancestor similiar to a monkey but I don't believe they are the same thing.Humans and primates are two different species.One species does not evolve into another,there is only evolution inside the species.Things have changed to adapt to the modern world meaning some have evolved and some have devolved.Thats what I believe anyway.

I believe in evolution. There is too much scientific evidence in the fossil record, genetic record, and in observable animal adaptations to not believe in it. Now, I don't believe that Darwin had it right, which no one does anymore. I do, though, believe that humans obviously evolved from some sort of primate ancestor, be it an early form of human that was not bipedal or something much more ape-like.

That doesn't mean I don't believe in God. I do. Many evolutionists do. That's why the Eve theory, the scientific theory that we all come from one single female human ancestor, is called the Eve theory.

i have a pretty scientific approach towards life

i heard in the US about 40% people don't believe in tht theory of evolution and rather believe in whts written in bible.is tht true?/

Okay my theory is the weirdest one out there, so you probably won't agree and neither will anyone else, but this is what I make of it:

So I believe in creation. I believe that God made everything, everyone, you get the story. But if you think about it, the world is a lot different then when the world first came about. When Adam and Eve were the only one's here there was no pollution or bad gene pool problems or anything like that. Everything was new and fresh and clean. Now, our air, compared to then, is terrible. If we were to go back in time, grab Adam, and put him here, his lungs would not be adapted to our air that we breathe now and he may die.

SO, my point being that I do believe that evolution within humans has happened, I just don't think we came from gorillas or whatever primate it is they say we came from. I hope that makes since.
