so my boyfriend and I haven't been dating that long but all of our friends know about us. when we're together we have a great time and he's so sweet, but when we hang out with our friends, which include couples, he doesn't sit next to me, and he talks to all of his guy friends and all the other girls there, even flirts with some of them, and only talks to me in order to call me out on something or make fun of me.

then when he goes to walk me to my car when I'm ready to leave, he kisses me and acts like nothing's wrong, and is like, "are you mad at me?" and then talks about plans for tomorrow.

also, over break, we hung out like every day and now that school's back in session, we rarely see each other, even though neither of us takes school very seriously. he never did those things when we hung out with our friends over break, either.

so am I wrong in being upset at this behavior? or does he not like me as much as he claims? I'm really confused!

No, I don't think you are overreacting at all! I think something is definitely wrong!

You should tell him one time that yeah you are mad and ask why he doesn't want to sit by you and why he only cuts you down in front of his friends..

Does he cut you down like that when yall are alone?

Question Asker Well we have our occasional back-and-forths but they're always in good humor. when we're with other people he's not so joking about it and his delivery is just ruder. plus he does it around people that I don't know very well, that are more his friends than my friends. - More than a year ago
Answerer This is just my personal opinion but it sounds like he is trying to show everyone that he can dominate you. and that he kinda owns you and you can't do anything to change him.

But I really do think you should confront him before you completely freak out..
