To health, to world peace, or what? do you have any samples, quotes, speeches, and maybe even some humor in it. How do I even begin to think about writing a wedding toast. I will need one in less than a month.

I think your friend gave you the honor of doing a toast because he/she really believes that you care. And if you do care, I think it's not too much to ask to spend some time and come up with something original, a toast that means something to your friend, his/her other half and the rest of the guests.
