Is fair/pale skin considered hot/sexy? Why or why not?

I think Western society typically views tan as more attractive. People often bemoan how pale they are. "Oh, I'm so pale." But, all in all, I don't think it's typically viewed as *unattractive*. I've been attracted to a lot of pale chicks.

Oh, but yeah. In the East, as TheDevilInside mentioned, porcelain skin is considered the height of beauty and has for centuries, like Japanese Geishas, for instance.

I've never found a chick unattractive *due to pale skin*, though, and sometimes I prefer it. It's weird though, because other times I prefer tan. Dunno what it is.

Like redheads suit being pale and you never really see a tan redhead but bleach blonde hair and really tan doesn't look as good I think haha

Well off-course Pale skin is the most hottest sexiest skin. As far as me and majority of the people are concerned pale is the most attractive.
I am not degrading any skin tone, every one has its own beauty but for a women pale look so attractive it looks soft, fragile, pure , and its a big turn on :P
I wonder why people would tan themselves? Beautiful pale attractive skin is a blessing one should be proud of it :)

Your options are a little off. yes, pale skin is beautiful. I think red heads with pale skin are gorgeous. My mom is pale, blonde hair blue grey eyes.. I'm olive toned green eyes with brown hair. personally I always wanted to look like my mom as a child, so I always loved pale skin.

I like fair-skinned girls, tan girls, darker girls. My attraction has no colour preference as long as you're a decent person is all that matters:) I do prefer paler girls though. My girlfriend of 1 and 1/2 years has fair skin, dark blonde hair and green eyes and she's perfect for me, but my first crush was at 15 on a girl who had olive skin, slate blue eyes and dark brown hair. Any colour or ethnicity is beautiful. ^_^

Yes it is. I don't understand why white people tan. To me, the lighter the skin, the prettier you are. I wish I had paler skin too, but the light brown is encoded in my Korean American DNA.

You won't believe how many ads you see everyday in asia on the media on skin whitenig products. How much rich people spend on them. How the models used here are either pan Asian (looks half white half Asian but with almost translucent skin), or straight up caucasian. Use white models for Asian market. That's a recipe for self esteem issues. And there are literally no facial wash without the word brightening or whitening in it. Unless you go to huge expensive Brands like clinique.

It's not the colour of your skin tone that matters, it's how you apply colour to it. I think a pale face with red lipstick and a dark eye is super sexy and attractive to a guy!!! Remember; if he only judges you on the colour of your skin, dump him!!
