I started wearing thongs when I was 13/14 or something, when yoga pants became all the rage and panty lines were a big faux-pas. I didn't find them comfortable but I got used to it within a few months.

My parents didn't say shit when they 'found out' because... it's my underwear, not theirs.

about 16 I switch to thongs bc I don't want underwear lines. it's very comfortable and I still ONLY wear thongs

no I didn't bring it to my mom's attention. it didn't take very long to get used to it. they'll only be uncomfortable if they're too small then they'll be too tight and that's when they'll feel like as constant wedgie. once you comfy in those it'll be easy to upgrade to a straight g-string
