Boy's: How do I break the touch barrier with him? Please help me

I know this guy who I work with. I happen to REALLY like him yet, I can't tell him because I'm afraid that it would be awkward (we are good friends). He is giving me very mixed signals and people even ASSUME that we are going out. When I describe the situation to people I know, they tell me that he has a thing for me and is shy. This boy always touches other girls playfully and NEVER me...however, I THINK I can feel the sexual tension between us...the question is; how do I break the touch barrier or make a move without creeping him out? (I'm NOT entirely positive that he likes me but we are good friends) help me please!

The thing is with us guys when it comes to a girl we really do not have touch barriers unless they are like super fugly so just be yourself and play at first if he takes it to the next step then you know you got somewhere if not then you have your answer either way right never regret doing something but always regret not doing something

Pretty simple just give him a touch on the arm naturally in the course of a conversation to punctuate something. maybe put you hand on his shoulder to get his attention when he's not looking.
