Why do women like holding hands so much?

Not that guys have anything against this at all, but why do women seem to value this more than dudes in general, hand holding what's the significance? Do women really love this?

Your hands are one of the most intimate body parts. They have a lot of nerves. You don't let just anyone touch your hands do you? It's weird. Like if someone accidentally brushes against yours or slightly touches it you flinch away right? Not just anyone can hold your hands because hands are sensitive, almost sacred. Being able to hold someone else's hand and have them hold yours is a pretty intimate thing even though it may seem like it isn't. It is kind of like a way of saying I'm yours and a way to connect.

girls love holding hands when they are really emotionally attached, and I believe that when guys reach the same level of emotional attachment their girls are at; they too love to hold hands with their girls and maybe more than the girl do ( this might be because some guys out there tend to hide how they feel for sometime before totally giving in) and feel she is "ONLY MINE".

The same reason any person likes to be touched. People enjoy the feeling of being wanted and being united with the person they care about. If you can go out in public holding hands with your girl, you aren't afraid to show the world you are with her and you care. It's a kind gesture and very comforting.

Yes girls do love holding hand. Personally, I think it all has to do with the romance of it all. When a guy holds a girl's hand, it shows them that they care. They're all theirs and they're going to be there for them. It's a way of saying "You're mine, I'm yours. Now hold on to me forever and never let go". Also, plain and simple, its a sign of affection.
