Why do girls always want to copy other girls?

It's like when they see another girl have something awesome, they envy it and have to copy them. It's like girls were made to be like each other. Guys do the same thing but to a certain extent unlike women. Why?

I guess it's like if it looks hot on her, maybe it'll make me hot too? I don't know I don't copy girls, I actually emulate guys more. I just wear slightly feminine versions of guys clothes O.o

I guess other girls want to be noticed more and when they look at other pretty popular girls they copy em. I think it is dumb and really annoying.
