Why is my crush not talking to me like before and stopped approaching me? (Really appreciate some feedback!)

Okay this is going to have lots of details, but appreciate input. One of my friends is a girl that I have known for a few of months and I have been falling in love with her ever since I met her for the second time. She and I used to talk on a regular basis and she usually wanted to approach me, which is how I got her #. However recently, she just ignores me and stopped approaching me even if it's obvious she sees me. However, other times when she sees me, she either smiles a lot at me or has stern look. In fact, I know her close friends more than I know her and half of them are girls. They all like me as a nice friend as well, but not as close as with her. Also, whenever I try for a hangout, she says that pretty busy. That didn’t happen beforehand since we did have a hangout earlier in semester.

Also, for some weird coincidence, I am always seeing her. It’s either in classroom or walking to/from the dining area and then suddenly, she just starts to enter or starts to leave. Also happens on the bus, or if it’s in the library (We always manage to see each other easily here). Our paths always seem to cross each other by coincidence.

She also has started to talk a lot with my friends, but whenever I talk with her, she always gives a one word answer and then the conversation dies. She’s behaving this way to only me, and to no one else. I really don’t what to do. Also, she's the outgoing and loud type, but with me, she's pretty silent.

I really don't know what this means or what I should do, or know anything.

Also, one more important thing she may already think I like her. That’s at least what my friend told me when my friend was talking with her and she asked that question. My friend of course told her he doesn't know. I am over 20, never kissed anyone and never had girlfriend before.
