Is the whole tall dark handsome stereotype overrated ?

I ask because most girls say this is what they trully want in a guy , but more often that not the guy they end up with ( like a long term relationship or marriage ) is usually nothing of these or alteast not all of them

Does every guy want a girl who's short, has big boobs, a small waist, blond hair, and blue eyes? Personally.. I find different things attractive.. But, a guys personality is what can be the deal breaker for me.. I don't have to have a guy with lots of muscles..i just prefer that he cares about his health enough to not be morbidly obese...and I don't think its too much for a guy to feel that way towards me either. Everyone has a preference I guess. But, people are a bit too critical with physical appearances these days.

People don't choose who they fall in love with, it just happens. Those physical characteristics may be her ideal, but if she falls in love with a man who is short, blond, and average, it won't matter to her. He'll be the one she can't stop thinking about and wants to marry. Not the tall, dark and handsome guy she has no feelings for.

if I could choose, I would choose a tall, dark and handsome kinda guy, but if I fall in love with someone, I don't care about appearance that much. I have to like him and find him attractive, obviously, but I find a lot of types attractive. in the end personality counts the most.

People have several types, whether or not they like to admit it or not. People usually have a favorite type or a generalization of what is "hot" but will date several different people different and go based off how that person makes them feel. There is no one thing that makes all guys hot.

It may be what she dreams of, but when it all comes down to it, it won't matter at all, she'll like whoever attracts her.

tall is not overrated, but that is coming from a tall girl. the rest of it doesn't matter much, especially in comparison to personality.

well I am 5'10" or 5'11" I am not sure, I like my height or taller.

really I think tall is relative because I think we all sort of assume ourselves to be "average" be that true or not. to me tall is just "taller than me". a girl who is 5'2" probably also thinks of tall as being taller than her. but like I said, I think personality comes first.

It does come first but in the end everything counts, height included.

I'm 6'4" and I'm happy for my genes, but generally it's overrated.

omg for guys tall is not overrated! I'm not super short but if I were like 4 or 5 inches taller id be stokked. for girls I didn't even know tall was rated that high haha

i just get the oh you are so lucky. you could be a model. crap from some of my female friends. it isn't fun. it isn't cute. it makes me feel awkward when I am taller than everyone. ugh

In my boots I'm at about 6'6" and I don't really get looks from people, but when I took a girl out to eat who was 6'1" people were absolutely staring.
