Why do his friends stare at me?

This guy and I liked each other for a long time but never dated. We both graduated from high school last year and he's in Europe now volunteering before college this fall. I haven't seen or heard from him in 8 months. However, I still see his friends and they still pay attention to me. All the friends know the guy used to like me and that I liked him back. Their reactions are weird. They always watch how I am with people, see what I'm wearing, look at what I'm doing, how I behave. One of them checks out my body/face really closely and I don't know if it's cause he thinks I'm cute, or wants to know what his friend liked (although he looks upset when I fix my top so he can't see anything).

Why do they still pay attention to me?

simple reason , the guy you liked still likes you or when he was around he liked you , when guys like girls they talk to thier friends about them maybe he still has a connection with his friends and he still talks about you ... so don't worry his friends know you and the way you discribe them they seem wierdos so stay out of thier ways don't fall for any of these losers

I should mention that the guy was very popular and respected in our school. A lot of girls wanted to date him but he only liked me. I've never met his friends but I know he told them about me. You know guys talk just like girls do . had it occured to you that you`re just HOT and that's why these guys can't stop looking . hony don't pay attention to them cause you donno what he told his friends about you it could be bad and it could good . do they bother you that much?
