Why are his friends protective of me?

Well there is this guy who has a crush on me and I have a crush on him. Well it seems like his friends are protective of me for some reason? Like they are always watching me and when a guy looks at me his friends stare at him and give dirty looks at him and his friends are really nice to me too. Is this part of some guy code? like if your friend likes a girl the friends have to look out for her? Please help! :) Thank you!

Probably because his friends see you as his property so they are there to make sure no other guy tries to take his property.

Egh it's part of the caveman code though in my opinion guys are like caveman so yes.

It's more like looking out for other guys that may be interested in her but basically yes.
