I broke up with my ex last year after he dumped me for another girl. We didn't talk in about a year, but he recently reached out to apologize for how much he hurt me (better late than never). Even when he was dating the girl he dumped me for, he always used to stare at me and try and hold eye contact whenever he saw me or walked past me. He recently got a new girlfriend (about a month ago), and he still does it. It's a really intense gaze with no smile, and he'll turn his head to look at me when I walk past (he greets me as well). It's the kind of look he gave me when he was first interested in me, so I'm wondering if he still has a "soft spot" for me, if you will. Bearing in mind I have no intention of interfering in his new relationship. He's all hers (lol) and I have a lovely new boyfriend. But as weird as it sounds, I like the idea that I still have the power to affect him after all he did to me...
