Why does he always stare at me when I do my hair?

I will be in class or somewhere usually at school and I will pull my hair back into a messy bun, re-do a pony tail, plait my hair because I'm bored, put it behind my eat, take out a hair clip or put on back in. I don't do this really thinking and I will look up and if he is in the area he always stares! we usually flirt with each other, there is a whole heap of tension between us but no one ever does anything :P anyways why would he look when I do something with my hair?

Simple. The guy thinks you're hot. I don't know what it is but when a girl does things with her hair in a sexy way it really grabs a guy's attention. Especially with long hair. Maybe you don't think about it or realize that you do it in a sexy way but I'm sure this guy really notices it. Now I'm not saying touch your hair and a guy will get turned on or immediately like you and be attracted to you. But certain girls know how to do these things with their hair that make them look really irresistible.

The flirting will probably continue and this thing about playing with your hair or doing your hair, whatever, to a guy, seems like a girl using her body to flirt or seem more playful. Who knows, he might end up liking you, but yeah no doubt this is what it is. Hope I helped.

he is definately attracted to you. if nothing has happened yet, he's probably on the same page as you wondering what's up. when you guys flirt(so you can actually talk casually and not shout across the room akwardly), if you catch him staring as you play with your hair, ask him "why do you do that?" and he'll probably ask "do what?" and just smile at him all sweet and shy-like so he knows its not a negative accusatory question and say "stare at me when I play with my hair" and something will have to come out of his mouth. its an easy way to slip the subject into a conversation. not completely subtle, but its not completely out of the blue and it can be a very innocent question to ask.
