Apps to get fit this summer-or anytime!


Mmm-Kay I know it's a bit late for you to get that summer bod because it's already summer... But still, these apps can be used for anytime in the year!


PERSONAL TRAINING


Nike+ Training club


I personally think this app is awesome. It's good for anyone, beginner through advanced people. It has a variety of the goals like getting lean, toned, or strong. It also has a section for "getting focused," which is 15 minute workouts that targets a certain area of the body. The main equipment you need for this app is dumbbells, medicine ball, and your own body weight. If you sobe have equipment the getting lean section uses body weight I believe. The workouts have videos for each move so you know how to do it. You can also stream music with this app and put it on airplay so It can stream on your TV!


FitStar Personal Trainer


This is basically the same thing as the above app. I believe the workouts are shorter & you might not need the equipment you sometimes need with the nike app. It uses information about your body to reccomend workouts for your level of fitness, which can be nice.


RUNNING


Nike+ Running


Nike run is a good nike app too. It tracks your runs and helps you beat your running goals. It has training programs so If you want to train for a 5k or just be able to run a certain distance this can help you make your goal! You have to run with your phone and the GPS on your phone will keep track of your distance and the app has an accelerometer to track your pace. This app can be very motivational because you can add friends & have little competitions with them.


RunKeeper- GPS
This app not only tracks your pace and your route but also tracks more than running! You can walk, run, or bike with this app. You can also log your other workouts in this app and keep track of your weight loss. This app can find you routes to do these things on too. It will also coach you on how to get to the point of 10k and other races like Nike+ Running!


FOOD/NUTRITION


Lifesum- Join the health movement


This app tracks your water and food intake while also keeping track of your workouts/exercise. It has meal plans and gives tips and advice to stay on track. The meal plan option is great because unlike most nutrition apps it does not just focus on the idea of "loosing weight." This app let's you choose from 3 different options, being healthier, loosing weight, and gaining weight. It has something for everyone!
