The core aspects of fitness are agility, flexibility, muscular and cardio endurance, balance, and reaction time. The following videos will help you tackle all of those skills in a fun and energizing way. I am well aware that they can be done by men as well, but I think for women, we sometimes get into this mindset that we can't physically do some of these things because we usually see videos or read material featuring some big beefy bodybuilder or professional athlete doing them. Working on these skills will help you have an amazingly fit body without all the bulk. These workouts are free and can be done almost anywhere with almost no equipment. It also helps to do something outdoors in fresh air, where you can be competitive with friends if you workout together, or to cut down on the boredom factor of some indoor workouts.

AGILITY AND REACTION TIME

Agility is the ability to move quickly and easily.

*For these exercises, if you don't have cones, you can use any sort of small low items to mark your spots on the ground


BALANCE AND REACTION TIME

Balance is an even distribution of weight which enables you to remain upright and steady and reaction time is the interval time between the presentation of a stimulus and the initiation of the muscular response to that stimulus.

*If you don't have an agility ladder for these exercises, you can create one by duct taping or chalking one out on some concrete. Try increasing the speed at which you attempt these exercises, and both going down the ladder in one direction and coming back, going forward and backward with the exercises, switching lead legs, and repeating each exercise several times to get a full workout. Definitely great for cardio as well.


MUSCLE ENDURANCE

Muscular endurance is the ability of a muscle or group of muscles to repeatedly exert force against resistance.


FLEXIBILITY

Flexibility is the range of motion of your joints or the ability of your joints to move freely. It also refers to the mobility of your muscles, which allows for more movement around the joints.


CARDIO ENDURANCE

Cardio endurance is how efficiently your heart, blood vessels, and lungs supply oxygen rich blood to working muscles during physical activity for a prolonged period of time.


With all of the pillars of fitness, the goal should be incremental improvement over time to help you achieve your highest fitness level possible.
