I'm losing inches in my abdomen like crazy the last few days?

I've been drinking only water for probably almost two months now. I hadn't witnessed a huge change from that (which was disheartening because I used to drink a liter or more of soda a day). I've also been struggling with bloating after eating a meal and I think I may have developed gluten intolerance.

However, the last week or two, I've been trying to get up most mornings and eat something for breakfast, whether it be a few bites of fat-free chicken salad, or cereal. Just something to kick-start my metabolism because I could go without breakfast. I'm usually not that hungry in the morning.

I've had steak and a baked potato, and then a burger, baked potato, and a slice of pie while out with friends this week for dinner. Not the healthiest choices.

The reason I tell you that above is that in the last few days, I've had my stomach go down a significant amount. I don't have measurements to compare myself to, but it's very noticeable! My stomach has deflated a great deal! This is my problem area too. It's where I store most of my weight. It blows my mind why I'm losing inches/weight so fast all of a sudden? I feel better too.

I have cut sweets (aside from that slice of pie) and no longer eat French fries a lot like I used to.

Is my body finally catching up to my new eating habits? Is it likely just inches? What gives?

I've started eating fat-free chicken and tuna, and cutting wayyyy back on portion sizes for a lot of meals. And, I've been eating a little fruit and forgoing any dessert, which I used to have for supper every day.
