I think it's because overweight people are typically the ones that receive the most backlash. Being thin is typically viewed as a very good thing, and people who are thin are assumed to be confident and love their body (thin is the "ideal" after all), so some people feel more free to comment upon a person's body when they're thin. Whereas when a person is thick or chubby, it is generally assumed that they are already insecure about their weight, so don't comment on it to avoid making it worse.

I agree with you. I use to be made fun of for being too skinny. I have a hard time putting on weight as well.

Neither is okay, no matter what. Sure someone is a little over weight, or someone else is thin. But it sure isn't okay. Also, plenty of girls are thin and don't starve them selves, like someone who truly does have anorexia. It really, isn't nice to call someone with a high metabolism anorexic, it is just the normal way their body processes food!
I know what you mean. I gave a healthy appetite but I get so much hate because I am skinny. I have never insulted an overweight person and I never will. However they always make fun of me. I got told: Go eat a hamburger you anorexic bitch! By some lady at a convinience store and then she muttered to her friend: I could never starve myself to be a stick.

It's rude to call skinny girls anorexic. Those who are actually anorexic are ill, where fat girls just are fat.
