Why don't I look my weight? I keep gaining weight but don't see it? Is it water?

I'm 5'2" and I've always been skinny until recently (was 95-100 pounds) but gradually gained weight. I hit 113 and thought I looked fine like that.

Well... my diet has not changed... and yet I'm gaining weight. I started working out (squats, deadlifts and such) about 2 weeks ago and while I have slight results it isn't enough to explain why the scale says 125?

I don't look 125 at all. I don't look any different than I did when I was 113. To be sure I compared my measurements from when I was 113 to now. I was a 32-26-37 and now I'm 32-26-38. My thighs and calves are the same. NOTHING looks bigger! I've even compared pics and I look the same. How can one inch in the butt = 12 pounds? It doesn't.

Can this be like water weight or something? I'm confused and I HATE that the scale says that. I'm suppppppeeeerrr confused someone pls explain...
