How long after taking an antidepressant before the side affects start?

I began taking Pristiq for anxiety and depression on Monday. I was warned about the side affects but so far haven't really had any. It is now Friday. Is it safe to say that I won't get side affects? I've never been on an anti-depressant before. Is there anything at all you can tell me about your experience with this medication?

This is really a question to pose to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist, instead of anonymous people on a website. Most pharmacists will gladly discuss your medications with you over the phone.

On average, it can take approximately one to two weeks for them to take effect.
