No. Those waist belt things only make you sweat. It is a scam. You can't lose body fat by just sweating. In fact, the only way to lose body fat is through increasing your heart rate and thus burning calories or by eating at a caloric deficit.
Also, there is no such thing as spot-fat reduction. You can't target an area to lose fat in. You can only lose body fat throughout your whole body. your genetics determine where fat is stored.
Waist belts and waist "trainers" DO NOT work. Do not waste your time or money.
With long term use they actually start doing serious damage to your body and you still will not get the results you are looking for.
Stick to exercise and a good diet, and be patient.
I do't think they would work.
That doesn't mean I wouldn't try them.
I would try to use a more reliable source than here.
Maybe even WebMD or something.

to lose love handles. exercise and eat healthy. do this for 3-5 months on a consistent basis and you will see improvement. it takes a long time before you notice, but it does work!
What do you mean by "waist belt?" You mean a weightlifting belt?
