1 calorie is approximate 240 kilojoules.
Here are some high caloric foods;
Peanut Butter
Peanuts
Pasta
Potatoes
Milk
Fish
Meat
Mass Gainer (supplement)
In order to gain weight, you'll have to eat more. It'll be very difficult at first. But you'll have to eat up until you feel like throwing up and then eat more.
Now, the problem with simply eating more is that if you don't train (workout) the extra calories will be stored as fat. So you won't get stronger, you'll simply get fatter.

Damn we doing science now. I forget how many joules to a calorie and how many lower case calories to an upper case calorie.
