My skin is all dry and flaky and it occassionally bleeds. What could this be?

so ever since i went swimming heaps during new years holidays (salt water) i have had this red rash on my boobs. At first i thought it was chaffing from wearing a bikini, but it just hasn't gone away. The skin is all dry and flaky and it occassionally bleeds, it was worse but its still quite bad and inflamed, and really sore. what could this be?

Use dandruff shampoo to wash your body with. It contains antifungals and antibiotics. See if that works. Even though tanning is bad for your health, you might find that the UV light can help get rid of this too. It kills the bacteria and other things that are on your skin.

It's sounds like psoriasis

i looked that up and it does look vaguely like what I've got but not really?

It could be... you might have psoriasis in other areas a common spot is the scalp. You might notice dandruff or just flaky skin... I believe that's what it is and the onset of the salt water caused a flare up

if the salt water caused it to flare up can it be treated because it says that psoriasis cannot be cured

It can not be cured but it can be controlled. You're best best is to go to a dermatologist they will be able to target what it is and the cause.

You should be seen at the ER by a doctor you could
got allergic reaction, you might have skin infection
such as Staphylococcus hard to treat skin infection
it could be yeast infection too..

I would say you have got seaweed dermatitis. If you don't know what it is just look it up and see if I'm right

if it was that wouldn't it had gone away though? because its been like 8 months? but yeah that does look like it and there was heaps of seaweed and jellyfish
