Err, is she trying to kill you? I had flu earlier on in the year, and frankly, I almost died. If you had the flu, 'proper flu', you wouldn't be going out anywhere. And you'd tell other people to fuck off if they interjected with their nonsense about needing to eat or wrap up. It's one of the times when you should definitely listen to your body. Your immune system knows how to heal itself. You should eat when you're hungry, if your body needs to flush crap out by overheating, it will do it itself...

You have to keep your body cool and if its the real flu, you should not leave the house because you may infect other people. When you have the flu, you need to drink a lot of liquid (water, tea) and rest a lot.
The cold doesn't make someone get flu. Only if their immune system is down, they would catch it.

That's excessive. Just wear your normal clothes and keep a blanket and socks on. Keep resting. You shouldn't even be leaving your house until you're better.
You can get worse this way because you are going to be too warm so your temp won't be able to go down
That sounds like too much. You should wear some pajamas and get somewhere and sit down. You don't need to be going anywhere until you get better.
