Ideas for a six month fitness plan?

Alrighty, where to start? I'm a 20 year old overweight female in fair overall health who needs to get her ass in gear. It just so happens that I'm about to deploy to a place with nothing to do but eat, sleep, go to work, and fill up two or three hours with randomness. Perfect chance for a fitness makeover? I think yes. I need to build a good six month workout plan that will drop 20 - 30 lbs and help me achieve some overall muscle definition (not much though, I like being a little squishy). Don't mention any crazy diets please, my food options range from dripping grease to a light coating of it, so drastic dietary changes will have to come next year.
