Should I try out the Muay Thai class in my MMA gym or is it only for people who are very flexible and with a good balance?

I'm just wondering since I train at this MMA gym in Gilbert, AZ called Power MMA & Fitness (owned by UFC fighter, Ryan Bader) and started learning Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. I've been thinking about trying out the Muay Thai class. The problem is, my groin, waist, hamstrings and hip muscles aren't flexible at all and I don't know if shin guards are required for the training.

Should I try out the Muay Thai class in my MMA gym or is it only for people who are very flexible and with a good balance?

What do you guys think?
Just walk into the Muay Thai class without the shin guards and ask the instructor/trainer questions. He should be able to teach you stretching techniques.
Nah, Muay Thai is only for people who are naturally flexible.
Wait til you buy yourself a pair of shin guards at a cheap price, then walk into the Muay Thai class to ask the instructor questions
