Hey! My boyfriend has a really really bad rash-- and I'm really worried about it because it's been a week.
" The rashes started last weekend with the rash on the center of my chest. Since then, within a period of a few days, two other rashes have appeared near my arm pits and at my airpit/behind my arm.
The pain is excruiciating unlike other rashes. It's not even itchy. It's an annoyingly painful rash. I have no compulsion to scratch it. Blistering is occuring for the rash near my armpits. I don't know why they've formed--besides blaming it on the heat and from wearing too many laters that one particular day.
Do any of you know the type of rash this is? Or any remedies? The white powder is baby powder-- to keep the area dry. I've tried hydrocortisone cream, but it made the area burn.

Those are probably hives - my best guess is he's having an allergic reaction to something. Look for anything that has been introduced in the last week or so. A new laundry soap, a new food, with the rashes on the trunk of his body like that it could be internal or external. Remove it and see if that helps. If not it's probably best to seek medical attention. It could also be shingles or a handful of other things.
Yeah tell him to go to a doctor already if it's been going on for a week and it's making scabong and sores like that he should have gone to a dermatologist a while back. Tell him to go to his doctor as soon as possible.
Umm why are you putting this here? I'm no expert but I think you'd get more helpful feedback from umm... I don't know... A DOCTOR! Not a bunch of strangers on the Internet!

I've posted on other forums with no response-- so I'm desperate. He's an intern and doesn't have any health insurance :(
Looks like Shingles. Go to a local doctor. They will probably give him some prescribed antiviral medication. That won't cure it, it will just lessen the rashes to not spread further more. Use some acetate lotion. If it's infected, they will give him antibiotics.
Ask the pharmacist If he can use a cream called ( Alfacort ) I've used it for similar skin problems. But you know you cannot take medical advice from the Internet? I really hope that he goes to the doctor so he can get the right help.
