Eat crunchy food, because you won't be able to chew anything for like a week after getting them (and another week everytime your braces et tightened). Enjoy gum, cause you're gonna have to say bye bye to that one as well. Cherish the fact that tooth-brushing takes around 3 minutes and doesn't destroy your toothbrush completely. Go make out with as many peaople as you can (not literally but like seriously, kissing is so much nicer without braces.) Eat all the muesli, peanutbutter jelly sandwiches and apples, cause those are suuper hard to get out of your braces.

Give a blow job.
I fucking hated braces. But I had them in a much younger age. You'll need time to get used to them. After that you will be able to eat as well as you could without them. What you won't be able to do is keep the clean enough with your tooth brush. You will always have pieces sticked in them. And that for me is was the worst thing about them.
It's not as bad as it seems, just in the beginning it will hurt. I had them for four years, it's no big deal. You don't need to do anything special.

To enjoy your last week without braces, I say, eat anything you will not be able to eat after you get braces. Hard candy and foods, gum. As a person who is currently having braces, I will warn you in advanced that it will be painful for 3-7 days. I say you enjoy these days to eat your fave ice cream flavors! Also, you HAVE to brush your teeth and check if there is anything stuck in your braces. One more thing, don't choose purple as the first color for your braces! A friend of mine got purple on and it looked like pink and so he was called the boy with pink braces for a month. Enjoy your last week! :D
It's really not that big of a deal. I had braces a few years ago. They originally told me that I'd only need them for a year, but I eneded up keeping them for 2 years. I ate all the foods you're not supposed to eat and nothing really ever happened. The one time I ever damaged my braces was when I was flossing and the floss managed to get tangled in my braces and I somehow pulled an entire bracket off when I tried to remove it. All you really need to worry about is getting a boatload of wax cause the brackets and wires are definitely gonna scrape up the inside of your mouth sooner or later.
I first got my braces when I was 14 on both top and bottom.
Got taken out at 16. Then put back in at 17 because of a change of Orthodontics and the new orthodontic said I wasn't ready. Got taken out at 19.
I still ate sticky, sugary food... I wasn't going to live my teen years just eating vegetables :') as long as you brush your teeth afterwards don't worry about itwhen I first got braces, my jaw and teeth hurt so I couldn't really chew or bite down. my solution to that was smoothies cuz they're cold to soothe your teeth and tasty. Also, when you get braces you'll have to pick stuff out of them and you aren't allowed to bite into stuff. so yeah
I had them for 2.5 years. The best part was the color rubber bands. Other than that, they were a pain. I'd say eat all the candy, popcorn, corn etc you can because once you get them trying to eat anything with be hella annoying. The most annoying parts for me was the way they rubbed against the inside of my lips, and getting them tightened.
Gum. Taffy. Tootsie rolls. Now before it's too late.
For tips, chew soft food as much as you can, even if it hurts, because this speeds up the process and it won't be as painful for as long. The first week is always the worst. ALWAYS wear your elastics as instructed. I'd also recommend brushing your teeth twice over at night.
Good luck!
( Keep in mind when I had braces I chewed sugar free trident gum and I didn't have any issues because it isn't sticky )Braces aren't so bad to be honest, just dont smile ever, or walk next to a magnet. You might lose a tooth or a two from the magnet pulling your braces out.
Happy living!I've worn them twice. It will be over sooner than you think and then you'll be happy you did it. Be sure to do everything your orthodontist tells you, and wear your retainers after the braces come off.
Lol make sure to get yourself some dental wax. Cold sores + Braces = The worst.
Though I have no problems eating sticky food with braces, you might as well eat all the hardest and stickiest food you can get your hands on.Lol luckky. I got them on about 7 months ago. After my 18th b-day, not fair lol. But tbh I still eat the same crunchy tacos, nachos, etc. I just learn how to chew more slowly and carefully so nothing gets stuck in my braces.
GUM, Chewy Candy! Anything hard to bite into enjoy it now... The first month or so it will be painful to eat anything tough. Also each time you get them tightened expect a headache for like a week. But gum and candy will get all caught up in them so those are the main things... Once the pain is gone.. you can pretty much eat anything you want.
Eat all the foods that'll likely get stuck in them.
Braces hurt a bit initially, but the time flies when you have them on, they're definitely worth it. You'll be fine!I wore braces and after Awhile, even with a Smile... It becomes a Way of Life without the Strife.
Good luck, Good Looking... Today, if you don't Wear braces, you are nothing. These are Not cheap!! xxEnjoy how you don't have food stuck in your braces every time you eat. Enjoy the really good, extra sticky and hard things like brittle, taffy, etc. braces aren't that bad though. And the time flies by! Be thankful you can get them. :-)
eat whatever you wanna eat. Because good luck with a lot of stuff with braces. EVERYTHING GETS STUCK IN THEM.
You can still eat all that stuff. It's not as big of a deal as they make it out to. m be. The only thing that can be painful is when he tightens them and make sure you get wax occasionally cuz the inside of your mouth can get sore.
eat all the forbidden food - ice, taffy, brittle, sugar gum, bite into a whole apple
eat foods that you can't eat with braces. For example, toffee or sticky sauces etc.
GUM. EAT CHT LOADS OF GUM AND TAKE OPEN SMILE SELFIES!!!
i'd say eat the foods you won't be able to eat once you have braces
