People overreact when anyone throws up.
Why do people make a big deal about throwing up (drinkers only)?
People overreact when anyone throws up.
I know this makes me a hypocrite to tell someone *why* they shouldn't throw up(although mine related to food, not alcohol),throwing up whether forced or not puts strain on your heart, which can lead to cardiac arrest and loss of electrolytes. You may think it's harmless to lose electrolytes, but it isn't.Loss of electrolytes can lead to death as you sleep...
And it means you have so little control over your actions you pushed your body to the limit
You only want to receive the answers you want to hear, which is why you put "drinkers only"
My comment was supposed to go under evangelina. Sorry I am on my blackberry so the screen is small.
Because I wanted the opinion of people that have experienced it. Obviously any answers are welcome, but I didn't want to see 10 comments about how drinking is bad for you, etc. I agree with your answer though. And bama rose I knew about the teeth thing. I never knew about the "cardiac arrest" fact.
Its because it means you've drunk so much that your body HAS to throw up so you won't pay more serious consequences. Like when you black out, the reason it happens is because the part of your brain that is usually reserved for making memories and visual stuff has to revert that energy to keeping your heart pumping and so you black out.
When I'm drunk and need to throw up, I make everyone else suffer for it. Like I will throw up on someones door handle, or on their steps. One time there was an open window in a car, so I just threw up there. Am I an asshole? Maybe. But I was drunk, so therefor I did not know what I was doing nor could control my actions.
Yeh, I once threw up over someone else's table and floor. They cleaned it all up for me even though I said I would the next morning. I wasn't really in a state to do anything at that point and would have made it worse...
But it sucked, I haven't thrown up since.
It's gross, but it does feel better having all that junk ejected from your body.

Making yourself throw up because you'll feel better isn't that big of a deal. It's a problem when someone is passing out and throwing up since they might choke on their own vomit
You are right! I would like to add that it can also teeth and gums. Because of the stomach acid mixed with what ever you throw up, you can do permanent damage to the enamel of your teeth also damage your throat and sinuses.
Right. I was in a controlled environment so it wasn't a big deal.
I hate throwing up! But The one time I got OVERLY drunk like... blackout drunk and needed to throw up I couldn't force it it sucked though I was so hungover the next day, so next time I will be for sure forcing vomit up
it sucks throwing up, but it sucks not to have a few now and then even more
It's not a big deal, but it's gross and shows that you lack control and don't know when to stop.
it's normal to throw up but I would want them to do it in private. It's like peeing is normal but I wouldn't want to see some person doing it in public.
If you throw up, people will think dang, there drunk or can't handle your liquor.
People don't make a huge deal about it here.
