thought I would either try something new or go back to what I used to do which was a high energy type of yoga where its not as slow as normal...
got any ideas ladies?
I don't really know, but I guess you could try running (sprinting or jogging). Probably would work best if you're a good runner with a girl who wants to improve. You could talk with her, and teach her a lot of things and practice at the same time. Plus, it's something you could do privately together, and there are plenty of areas you could do this. It doesn't have to be a track.
Another thing you could do is dance... if you like dancing. You can show off to girls if you're good. And you can dance with the girl.
Sex.
You should ask men, most women do amazingly dumb workouts.
It's a shame I can only do +1 here. I'd spam that up arrow if I could.
Some men do dumb stuff to, but women are much more likely to. As soon as someone talks about toning, you know she doesn't have a clue how exercise triggers adaptation.
well if you want me to ask men, please tell me your answer then.
On behalf of all women, I would like to thank you for your sweet comment :D
What are your goals?
You asked 'what do you do'. I am currently doing a few workouts of mind numbing low intensity steady state cardio, and a few sessions of fairly low rep-high weight lifting. I normally spar (boxing) but I'm not doing so now, my workouts are to meet my goals in terms of boxing performance. Since I'm 'off' sparring right now, I'm using the steady state cardio to try to drive down my resting heart rate/increase heart capacity, and also add a little muscle in targetted areas.
Before I get back to sparring, I'll ramp up high intensity work for a few weeks to pick up those adaptations again.
What are your goals?
well I just want to do something that will give me more energy something that is fun and I will want to do and not just stop doing it because its boring.

I like cardio. I like the elliptical machine and stairmaster.
but the best is to switch it up different days. Weights are important too. Some days do more cardio, some days do mostly weights and very little cardio and have a shorter workout. And use different cardio machines on different days, I also like using 2 or 3 machines for 20-30 minutes each or something like that instead of the same machine for 45 minutes to an hour. Less boring and you can go more intense on each machine and overall probably work your body out better.
I kind of like sprinting on the treadmill too but you have to pace yourself and not run too fast or for too long or you'll feel tired and achey and miserable. But if you do it right with good music it feels amazing.
do you get bored of it easy? I tend to get really really bored with things after I do them for so long
i go to the gym three times a week once for pilates then yoga and aerobics..not always fond of the gym...but I am happy with the results..doing different routines keeps me from getting bored
does that cost a lot of money for you?
the wave/firm to me its a fun work out and it really does change your body in just a couple weeks if you keep up with it.
what is that? is that something you do at home ? or the gym?
something you can do at home. I got my wave for 50$ at walmart and it came with 3 diffferent videos. you can google it I knkow there's a website, okay therese a ton of different videos and workouts you can do to switch it up
Why does the answer have to come from women?
because guys don't normally do the same types of workouts as girls
You're right and usually just they should be, just with minor adaptations. Girls buy into fitness fads while guys stick with what we know has worked for hundreds of years.
im just looking for something that would be fun and I won't get tired of it... guys don't normally do things like that
High intensity interval workouts.
Whoah! You're back!
