If your skin is currently breaking out, don't exfoliate too much or you can irritate the skin further. Choose a very gentle scrub and don't press too hard. Give your skin a break and switch to a regular cleanser meant for oily skin if it starts to feel battered. A topical ointment containing benzoyl peroxide or salycilic acid may help. I struggle with oily skin and acne, and I like using Neutrogena skin care products- they have a huge selection of cleansers, scrubs, and ointments for oily skin. I prefer natural products, but I find that they just don't do the trick for my acne, unfortunately.

The other answers have pretty much covered everything but I also recommend making sure that the exfoliator you buy has smaller grains/granules. I find that the big ones are not only more scratchy but they feel less effective because they're more spaced out so you have to use a lot more product just to actually exfoliate rather than just spreading soap around your face.
If your issue is acne, then you can also look for products containing salicylic acid (usually they are in small percentage doses) which should be helpful in clearing out your skin.

Lush has some great natural products for oily skin. I say avoid anything that is already fragrance or scented. It doesn't do much. Also, don't you anything that would be harsh on your skin. For example those loofa scrub things that basically tear the skin just to remove dirt.
Always moisturize. When you wash you basically remove everything including the healthy stuff. To restore it, find a great moisturizer the suits your type of skin.dont exfoliate more than a couple times a week because it will make your skin chapped and dry. use an oil free moisturizer after washing your face to bring back that moisture but not make it oily. garnier has great products. I suggest their 3 in one face wash, it works well and keeps acne gone or managed. garnier moisturizers are also nice.
