How to get rid of hyperpigmentation?

Hey guys, I have struggled with acne for quite some time. Its better now but still get them a bit. anything that can get rid of the marks left over? Ugh, you get to go through it all then you have marks left over that seem to take forever to heal :(. I don't think I am a bad looking guy at all. In fact girls have told me I'm handsome and very good looking, but with these marks I just feel like crap. Sucks when you can't look your best.

while I've never really had an acne problem, I've known people who have. Here are a few things you can do to help yourself out.

1. Go to the doctor and find out if something is wrong. Acne can sometimes manifest if we have an infection or something isn't going right inside of the body.

2. Wash your face every day, maybe twice a day with a special soap/cleanser. Don't be embarrassed head strait for the noxema, nivea, and clean and clear.

3. Periodically throughout the day, clear your skin of oil with a clean dry/moist cloth, rounds, or a commercial facepad.

4. Wear Sunblock, and don't sit in the sun. After sun exposure and perspiration ALWAYS wash/clean your face.

5. Don't drink alcohol, it causes huge acne!

6. Change your diet, no beverages with high acidity, no soda, no energy drinks, powerade, etc. only drink water and an occasional clear fruit beverage.

7. Exfoliate daily. Buy an abrasive facial sponge and use daily. always clean it before and after you use it.

8. always wash your cheeks and chin first, then your forehead, then your nose area (triangular area comprising your nose & eyes).
