im the same there, I have heaps oily skin, well to tell the truth I use to have really oily skin.
since I moved to the coast things have cleared up in that department,
iv got a few tips that helped me out.
when I 1st moved to the coast, I still had really bad skin, oily and the whole works.
the 1st thing I started to notice was that I was out in the sun a bit more, and that was the really big help that I needed. I was out in the sunlight for a few hours a day.
i got into sport, I play football now, rugby union, and sweat is another big one that helped,
because I was sweating heaps at training, when I got to have a shower, I was compleatly oil free for the rest of the day/night.
and salt water, that's another one, I took up a bit of body surfing in the summer, id go to the beach every now and again.
but like I said befor, sunlight, when I broke my arm, I didn't go outside as much during the day, still went to the beach, but as soon as I got better I just gradualy started going out during the day more, and bam, I was all better again,
its the key tip, if my back starts getting a few bumps hear and there I just do a bit of tanning, just be careful if you do, we're pretty well informed about skin canser in australia, so just little bit more sun hear and there, it works miricles. =)

You're unintentionally making your oily skin worse by washing it constantly. When you wash your face, you're washing away all your natural oils, causing your skin to dry out, and then overcompensate making more oils to replace the ones you washed away. Your skin is basically producing more oil than it needs to, and will continue to do so if your washing habits continue to be so rigorous, haha.
I had the same problem. My skin is oily too, and still is. But it was way worse when I was washing it all the time. If you stop washing so much, your skin will feel even more oily than it does now, for a short while, but soon it will balance itself out and it won't be as much of a problem. At that time you can use like, blotting papers to absorb most of the oil on the surface. And if you wear makeup, use some translucent powder to soak it up as well. Tanning also seems to help with oily skin, but I don't really support tanning personally. Drink a lot of water! =]
if you don't have acne and you're just oily: you really shouldn't be washing your face more than twice a day. once in the morning and once at night.
take a look at the face wash you are using and see what's in it. Make sure there isn't any salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. both of these are ingredients for treating acne (and they're great for that) and extra dryout your skin leading to over production of oil.
don't skim on the moisturizer when you do wash your face.
I know it's hard to make these changes because at first your skin will still be over-producing on the oil, but hopefully in 3 to 4 weeks you'll notice you aren't as oily. That would be my best route of action.
You may just be genetically more prone to oily skin. Which isn't always bad - people tend to look younger for longer!
