Is Aloe Vera best for getting rid of acne scarring on dry oily skin?

is it effective, does anyone have any experience/results from it to even out your skin?

I have dark acne scars on my back that I want to get rid of, because I have combination skin. I don't want it dry but I also don't want to aggregate and make it more oily with regular moisturizer so I don't make more acne.

I think aloe Vera willbebest?

Aloe vera won't help with the scars or their darkness, however it does help with preventing acne and helping heal your current acne.

TO lighten up the scars it's best to go with a hydroquinone cream which you can find in most pharmacies. You should also avoid the sun or tanning that area in particular and wear a sunblock cream for that area.

to avoid never tanning that area would mean i would have to always avoid walking around topless :(

but i am olive skinned so it healed darker regardless of sun exposure. isn't hydroquinone cream just a skin whitener? i'm naturally light olive skinned if that makes a difference. how does that cream work

I have very light skin and my brothers have very light olive skin because we are of Italian descent. When either one of us have had acne, the blemishes became darker than the areas not affected. That has to deal with your skin's healing process, not pigmentation so much.

For a while I had bad back and shoulder acne and the areas affected by the acne were quite dark. It took me almost 1 1/2 years of not exposing the area to sunlight and using the cream to have the areas once again match my regular skin. It wasn't fun going around covered in the summertime, but it was what I had to do to get the scars to fade.

wouldn't it have faded in the same amount of time regardless of if you exposed it or not? I'm Italian also by the way

I have other friends that have had similar acne but their ones heal red marks whereas mine heal darker, regardless of if I don't expose to sun. why that cream specifically?

Ok. I use aloe Vera for everything. From sore muscles to ache and zits. I have really sentive skin and never had a breakout or rash. It doesn't dry out skin. And i never had it make my skin more oily. Though it does smell a little so make sure to wash or shower after using it. It may tingle but it's nothing. :)

Aloe is amazing. But don't buy it from a bottle. Get the actual plant and cut open a leaf. The teal thing is so much more effective

I tried the leaf once but it stunk like extremely strong sweat B.O.

Bio oil also works really well at getting rid of any sort of scar and you can get it from most supermarkets or chemists

but my skin is dry AND oily, wouldn't that be worse for my skin to use bio oil? maybe it is good for regular skin but im not sure for my combination skin?

Coconut oil has helped my acne scarring..and its a great moisturizer
