Can I revert the damage, or is it permanent? Because I really ate that stuff every single day.
Thanks
Yeah its called cholestrol - there are two types LDL and HDL - basically two simplify things one is good for you and the other is bad.
As for your diet - yes exercise helps a lot especially walking. but try to keep your diet healthy I mean check with your GP or a personal trainer to create you a diet plan you can stick too.
You can revert the damage since if you lose weight and change your diet the cholestrol levels can fall. I'm not a medical student but I'm studying health and social and the exam is based on anatomy and physiology so don't worry I'm telling you things correctly.
Also keep your weight monitored i.e. visit your GP and get a test done after a while to make sure your cholestrol levels are normal. And also keep an eye on your BP
You do get rid of it in time, maybe not all of it, depending on how much you eat and how old you are.
Children usually don't have to worry about it too much. At that age junk food doesn't do irreversible damage. It does influence your health and you're more likely to develop allergies on a processed and GMO food diet, but if you don't have that by now, you're fine
Atherosclerosis typically takes years to progress due to high levels of LDL Cholesterol. You could get your lipid profile checked by your physician. In the mean time just make sure you exercise 150 minutes a week and start to eat food high in Omega 3 fats (polyunsaturated) and low in LDL ( bad cholesterol). Stop smoking if you do. use alcohol moderately. lose weight if needed. Control blood pressure
It is possible to reverse the damage, but it does take time. Anyway I doubt that you would have that problem in you early 20's unless you have a family hstory

I think science has failed to discover new cures yet. I read somewhere that there is a stomach operation that can cure diabetes. Many medical discoveries are not popular though true.
I think its reversible, if you eat healthier and really take care of your body.
Nah I don't think it goes away once you got it.
