How often do you have trouble falling asleep?

I can't sleep, yet again. Once if gets really late I reallt have trouble because I am prone to waking up at the same time every night.

I've only a few times in my life actually gone without more than an hour of sleep, but that was in college and sort of by choice.

The other times I always seem to forget what ends up happening. 3 hours sleep if I'm lucky?

I have an anti anxiety medication that I end up taking. I was prescribed something that used to be used as an antidepressant but is actually a sleep aid but I've yet to try it as the benzo I know will work.

This happens from time to time. Anyone else? I get so afraid I'll never sleep. Tomorrow is Friday and I'm not too worried but still, I want sleep and I don't feel well. Any other insomniacs? Does anyone here have ambien and does it work? I would love something that would actually knock me out.

More than 2 drinks = sleep begins easily but then wake between 12am-3am, difficult for sleep to return

Hotter than 74F in bedroom, no fan on = more difficult to stay asleep

Giant dinner = difficult to stay asleep

Caregiver habits @ 2-3am for kids, wife over the years = will wake at those hours and if any of the above at play, then sleep comes slowly again, otherwise - no problems getting sleep again

Daily exercise = good sleep

Daily green tea = slight rampup on calories burn, so slingshot effect at night is to relax

Prayers to put daily struggles to bed = good sleep, fewer wrestling with demons dreams

Emergency only (AM exam, interview or meeting): 8-9pm Alka-Seltzer Nighttime/P.M.
Knock me out drugs = addiction, then there's real hell to pay about no sleep

Of course, no illegal drugs nor tobacco

I used to find it real hard. And some nights I wouldn't get any sleep at all and be grumpy at work lol. I find exercise during day as nd making sure you get up real early the day before the best way to get to sleep at night.

If you get up at say 7-8 do some exercise at some stage during day then it seemed to be a lot easier to sleep.

I usually have no issues. Maybe once a month I have a rough time, but I'm so regimented that my body knows what's up lol

I would stay away from ambien. If you're going that route, you can just use an over the counter sleep aid that is only for sleep, not pain or colds or anything. Or the natural route and try melatonin.

most of the time, I can't fall asleep without listening to Lifehouse.
Only a few songs of them work though, after 6 years of barely sleeping, I finally found a way to make me fall asleep :) It doesn't work all the time though.

Actually i don't have a problem regarding sleeping if i want to sleep, ill sleep but if not then i can stay active till 2 am and wake up at 5 for my work.Read some questions posted on GAG I'm sure it will knock you out.:)

Me sohmetimes it's hard for me to sleep but when i pray and ask GOD for sleep.. i usually sleep OK at that point. .. Sometimes it's more difficult than other times but usually i get a pretty good nights sleep.

All the time! Especially over winter breaks, spring breaks, because I'm still in school. I actually can't fall asleep now! aha
