It comes as no surprise that GaG is littered with questions such as "Does he/she like me?", "Am I attractive?" "Rate me out of 10?" But before asking these sort of questions, I think that everyone should have a basic understanding of personal care. Below of some the steps you need to take before questioning your attractiveness towards the opposite or same sex. These steps are not gender specific, however when going into detail I can only speak from a man's prespective.
1. Shower regularly
This comes as a no brainer to most, but showering to some is to daunting of a task to do to most. Showering regularly helps your body get rid of germs, boosts your immune system, reduces stress, improves blood flow, opens and clears out pores and helps you smell and look better. Please make it point to have one regularly.
2. Maintain your nails
Either keep them short and clean or maintain a proper and complete style. Cutting them short should involve using a nail clipper and not your teeth. When you use your teeth it has the tendency to break unevenly and/or ends up becoming a habit and thereby encouraging you to bite your nail to oblivian. Biting your nails is unhygeine due to the very probably possibility of there being germs underneath the nail. If you choose to have long nails then make it they are well maintained even manicured and make sure that the nail polish is complete.

3. Brush your teeth et al.
Maintaining a complete, white, smile is sign of health and beauty. An effective manner of maintaining your oral health would be to regularly brush your teeth and floss. Your teeth tend to show when smiling and/or laughing, and there is nothing worse than a set of teeth that are rotten, decaying and are stained. Some studies have shown that teeth health is connected to overall health.
4. Maintain your hair
This can be subjective, but generally speaking keeping the head on your hair neat and trimmed goes a long way to improving your overall appearance. The hair on your head covers the majority of your head and having it all over the place is sign of laziness and tardiness. A nice clean cut shows that you care about your appearance and gives a clean overall look. For the rest of the body I would reccommend that men go for an overall bald look or if you choose to have hair, keep it well maintained and neat. With reegards to women, I would reccommend a clean or trim look.

5. Smell good or don't smell at all
In combination with showering, it doesn't hurt to use deordorant/anti persperant to help maintian that fresh clean smell throughout the day. When it comes to spray cans, try not to overdue it because it may become overpowering on the sense. Moderation is key.
6. Maintain a healthy lifestyle
Your health is a sign of beauty, youthfulness and good genes. Try eat a well balanced diet and do not over eat and/or eat unhealthy. Cut back on refined sugars, take out and high caloric foods; which include pizzas, muffing, donuts etc. Try walking more, taking the stairs instead of the escalator and bike to work. This will in turn help to bring your weight to a normal range and make yourself more attactive to potential mates.
7. Wear clean, maintained clothing
Pretty simple, do laundry regularly and make sure there are no holes. Iron out your wrinkled shirts and dress shirts and make sure there are no marks on them. Know how to do laundry by separating the colours from the black from the whites. Read the label on the back to ensure that you're doing it properly.
8. Stay employed
Having a steady job ensures that you have a flow of constant income coming in. This flow will enable you to live the lifestyle of a productive person. If you don't have a job or have recently lost one, then make use of your free time by looking for one.
9. Maintain good posture
Good posture is essential to making you look confident and secure about yourself. Its a sign of healthiness that will no go unnoticed. Maintaining good posture lets others know that you care about that way others view you, and helps to reduce back pain.
10. Stay Positive
No one wants to hear someone else moan all day. Try to engage in positive, constructive conversations. Don't be a stranger, greet people and put a positive light to any situation you're in. Listen to music to boost your mood if need be.
