What should I do? My boyfriend didn't come to my birthday.

My birthday was a few months ago but it still bothers me as you can see. Well, it was my 17th birthday and my boyfriend didn't come to visit me. He sent me a text but only a text and didn't call me whatsoever for the rest of the day. I was just wondering if this was a red flag of anything and what should I do?

Me and my boyfriend have discussed this a few times before but thinking about it still hurts because he wouldn't hesitate to go to another female friend's birthday, etc... He doesn't have an excuse as to why he didn't come and called himself selfish. I obviously agree but I don't know anymore...

This is a huge issue for me because it just doesn't stop bothering me. Oh he didn't even get me a present either... =)

Seriously, what should I do? I feel as if I've exhausted all options to talk about it now. Should I just totally get over it?

you should have acted better about it when it happened. if you've already talked about it a few months ago, it's all water under the bridge to him. if you are still together now and things are better than forget about it. I think you should let this go. I would say he was more than likely telling the truth when he said he felt selfish. if he hasn't given you a reason not to trust him or believe him, you have no reason not to believe him.

if you wanted something done about it you should have acted right away. You can either leave him, or get over it. Punishing him in any other way seems redundant now.

Your not selfish.. and unless he had a legitimate reason not to be there, yes its a red flag.
