Nope, I'll never understand why people get so touchy over that. It's semantics. It seems pretty silly to get mad at somebody who's trying to be friendly and wishing you happiness during the holidays, just because they're calling it by a different name.
To me that's the equivalent of this:
Person 1: "Have a nice day!: :)
Person 1: "How dare you tell me to have a nice day when it's already night time!" >:(
They're being nice to you jeez! What should matter is their intention behind the words being spoken, not the words themselves. That's all that matters to me.

nope I'd probably laugh(cause it would catch me by surprise) and say thanks or maybe something sarcastic(depending on who said it or the mood I was in at the time) like "and happy Kwanzaa to you!" lol but it wouldn't offend me at all. I don't get why people get their feathers ruffled by someone saying for you to have a happy anything. I'm just happy when people are NICE to each other no matter what they wish me I appreciate it :D
No, not at all. =] I'm not religious at all, but I'm not offended by any 'holiday greeting' of that sort. I would just assume that you're Jewish and celebrate Hannukah, and I'd wish you a happy Hannukah in return. The words may vary, but the sentiments are all more or less the same.
No, you can't really look at someone and tell if they are christian or jewish, so no I would not be offended, I would tell you that I don't celebrate hannukah in a nice way and go one about my buisiness. link
Not at all some of my friends are Jewish aside from family members. This is because I am also open minded to other religions and respect others beliefs. That said I would wish you a Happy Channakkuh in turn.
Happy Kwanzaa, happy Chaunakkuh, merry Christmas, they all sound the same to me.
"Happy Winter Solstice."

This is why the world is the way it is today, there is political correctness. I wouldn't care at all if someone wished me happy Hanukkah as opposed to Merry Christmas or even Happy Holidays because it's the thought that counts! I celebrate Christmas but it's always nice to receive well wishes from another regardless of what they practice and celebrate!
no I wouldn't be offended but I would think you were dumb to say it without knowing one's religion first - a bit idiotic isn't it not to check first. like wishing a Muslim happy christmas
No, not at all. I don't start hissing in pain going "MY EARS! I CAN HEAR THE SIN!" That's just silly.
People have their celebratory traditions and I, as should everyone else, respect that.Nah, I would be happy. I would wish you a Happy Halloween. =)
Nope, would you be offended if I wished you Merry Christmas?
I'd only be offended if you didn't mean it and forgot to give me my 8 presents.
no, it just seems kinda pointless though
Nope :) I'm Christian and that wouldn't bother me.
No. I wouldn't be offended at all
Is it a jew party?
