I'm So Over These First World Problems!

Heads up this is somewhat of a rant..

My Catalyst:

I was just on a post about this sugar baby chick and men were really in their feelings that some 2 adults, whom they'd never even met by the way, would spend a couple hours together (apparently the agreement didn't include sex) talk, and dine and then the guy would pay the girl $9k for the company..

So I was getting called "more pathetic than that guy" because I stated that it was a harmless business transaction and not really any of our concern. And they were being deemed "shitty people" and people were trying to twist it like this girl was scamming these wealthy ass guys who no doubt have thriving investments/ventures = very business and financially savvy or employ people who are. I noticed that these men were trying to reduce these guys into idiots in order to villainize this chick and it got me marvelling at the fact that they would reach so far just to stay mad.

I wound up calling them out on the fact that these guys probably have more money than they could spend in 2 lifetimes and they were still mad?? Lol, I then asked them why they weren't turning their "spirit of justice", as I phrased it, towards victims of domestic abuse, rape, trafficking, corrupt/greedy people in power, the homeless or abandoned children, sweatshops, etc..?

I haven't heard back yet but I don't doubt it'll be another bout of whining over non issues.

Like come on people, just because we can afford to feed ourselves and have a roof over our heads doesn't mean we should be turning a blind eye to people in need and I get the fact that some people don't care -I'm not even talking about action, merely empathy- about other people's suffering, it's pretty selfish in my opinion but that's your prerogative.

Just know that if you try to take up for petty stuff or complete non issues, I'll call you on your B.S.. There's too damn much suffering in the world for me to let you whine my ear off about 2 prosperous, happy, grown ass adults, whom neither of us know anything about aside from what they decide to disclose to the press.

Those guys did have a point, though. And I'm not sure if it's even worth it to make the argument again because it had to be spelled out for you at least once by at least one person on that post. But I suppose another try wouldn't hurt.

The point is that a lot of those guys were hoping to get into something more serious with her. It's just a fact. Do I know every single guy who invested in her services? No, I don't. But it doesn't take a Mastermind to figure it out.

Now, could you say that those guys were stupid for falling for it? Sure. But that doesn't change the fact that she was taking advantage of it.

Me personally? I am pretty disgusted with the guys who tried to attract her by throwing all their money at her. But I'm also disgusted with her for using her dates as leverage like that.

So let me guess.. I'm also jealous and bitter because I work retail and can't easily afford her services, right?

I never said that but it's cute that you read my post and got an entirely different take than what's been stated. I never said that these guys were "bitter because they couldn't afford her". If you read my Mytake you would see that I was annoyed with all the men taking time to attack the women who commented just shrugging the situation off. Like "they're grown, that's not for us to stress over" that was the attitude for a significant amount of women commenting and they were getting attacked by random dudes. But if I'm being honest you do sound pretty bitter. And I was basically stating in this take that instead of guys flipping a switch at women for not really caring about a stranger's life that dudes should turn their "self-righteous outrage" towards people who actually need their advocation.

Maybe I wasn't clear but I said that because they were acting like the girl was robbing these men blind so I was pointing out that $9k isn't a big loss to a multi millionaire and that if they were investing right, they would make that back up in no time. The guys were acting like she took everything these guys owned and I was pointing out why, when put in perspective, it probably isn't any trouble for the guys paying her.

Yes I called the guy hurling insults on an entirely different post bitter because he was clearly lashing out towards the poster and calling the girl in the photo all types of ugly, which I went on to point out was his own opinion and that while he may find her unappealing other's are allowed to disagree.

I admitted that I called a guy bitter for lashing out and insulting strangers on a completely different post. I wasn't being antagonistic, I was calling a grown man out for disrespecting a bunch of people for no reason. Yeah, he's entitled to act like a petulant child and I'm entitled to call him on it.

If you want to have a healthy discussion then let's do that but it's not going to work if you address an issue u have with this MyTake and then go and pull my comments from another post as evidence. You're mixing the 2 of them up and it's not making any sense.

If you had a question about my reply on a different page then tell me but stop asking me about 1 specific post, mincing up my words from multiple posts, and trying to paint me as a liar when I address the 1 post that you've brought to my attention.

If you read this MyTake I was using my observations of that entire other situation to point out how a lot of guys were acting like these rich guys needed saving and how unnecessary it was to get so worked up over 2 perfectly content adults. Especially when there are people who actually need help. People were trying to reduce this man to an idiot in order to justify being angry with the girl and I honestly just think those men are bored. Have you seen how excessively some of these wealthy people live?

You had been going on about this MyTake so I was addressing what you were saying under the assumption that you were talking about the MyTake. So I asked for quotes and next thing I knew you were copying and pasting comments from a whole other post. That's what I'm saying. If you wanted to talk about that post then I'm down to talk about that post but you're changing up the convo without telling me and trying to pull a gotcha situation and that's not how a genuine discussion works.

I don't know, I'm in the school of thought that these types of relationships are stupid. I'm not sure whose company is worth 9 grand for a few hours. If he has money to piss away, maybe he could put that money to use helping people? Nah, better to waste it on someone whose only redeeming value is being pretty.

True, he could spend that money more wisely and true those relationships tend to be dead ends from the start because she's obviously showing up for the pay out but those are 2 consenting adults. My issue is that people are really taking this to heart to the point that they were attacking several women on the thread that were kinda shrugging the situation off. A good amount of us weren't even applauding her, we were just like, oh it's a business transaction and their personal life isn't for us to stress over and then dudes were coming out of the woodwork whining. My stance is, neither of these parties are hurting and there is so much wrong in the world already, why are they making a huge deal out of a complete non issue that has nothing to do with them?

I personally think open relationships are contradictory because why commit if you're unable to stay faithful? Do you see me running around crying about other people's open relationships though? Nope. Do I call people who shrug and say it's not my concern "hoes" because if their not against open relationships then they're obviously for them? No I don't. I don't see the point in getting fanatical about stranger's lives.

Open relationships are a different thing entirely, but anyways while I might say that they have every right to do it I don't have to respect them. I get why the girl does it, but the guy is a chump and I can't respect him. He's basically a selfish, wealthy loser in my eyes.

I wasn't saying that open relationships were the same thing I was using it as an example of something I don't agree with but don't lay awake at night stressing about. I never said you had to respect anybody but there are more important things to worry about than what 2 adults do behind closed doors. How are people gonna waste time and energy lamenting a stranger's relationship and then talk about how wasteful the premise of that relationship is. It's contradictory to your supposed values. the time you spend sitting around and stressing people who don't even know you exist could go towards volunteering and aiding those in need.

If some loser chooses to pay someone enough money to feed a village for a year just so they won't be lonely for a few hours, then they're pitiful, self centered sacks of garbage and I have no issue saying that. If you're gonna waste money, at least get something tangible and cool with that money, like a boat, or a car. Then at least you can enjoy the thing you spent your money on for as long as you want. If you're so desperate that you need to pay someone to keep you company, maybe you should work on making yourself a little less awful to be around.

I don't disagree that $9k is a lot but it's a relatively small number when compared millions. This is what happens when people forget that there are several other perspectives. Anyways, how do you know that guy isn't donating tens of thousands of dollars to charity as we speak? You're talking like you personally manage his finances and you're talking from a different perspective than his own.. This is exactly why I don't obsess over other people's lives. there are way too many things that factor into any single decision and I have my own life to live. I personally think these guys do it because they have more money than they know what to do with and because they're bored and are looking for a drama free arrangement. Women already flock to these men (because they want to gold dig) but this sort of arrangement allows the man to do as he pleases with the reassurance of a set price.
