the world would be boring if all men looked the same. no girl could be proud of her boyfriend, cause her bff got the same! LMAO. and if he broke up with her, she'd just pick the next edward. hmm... how exciting!
furthermore some girls want real men ;)

This question is ridiculous! There are lots of GREAT GUYS out there! I don't know why everyone is always complaining about the lack of great guys. Girls pass them everyday without knowing it.
Btw...is that really you in the pic? WTF? The make up is GARISH. You don't need it...sorry; it has to be said.
I'm just doing you (and society at large) a favor. I said the make-up is garish, not YOU. In general, when I see girls with so much make-up, I just think they'd look much better without it.
Well I feel sorry for you then, because not a lot of people compliment you obviously because you're ugly and you say stuff to other girls to feel better about yourself. get a life, really.
To be Edward, would be too much drama. I find drama very awkward. I'm a very up beat a cheery guy. I'm also romantic, just not a very smooth talker. So, I wouldn't even wanna be like Edward.
I did love the movie though, my friends girlfriend bought him all the books, I'm waiting to get my hands on em.
*i really hope one day people can stop staying "he/she's hot" and look pass the skin. I assure you everybody has their own charm, enough to sweep you off your feet, you just need to give them a chance. And if you treat them like Bella treat Edward, they'll turn right into your real life Edward for you.
I agree. I just wish people would look past skin deep and into the real you. but everyones eyes are coulded with todays indecisions and wanting to look good so they won't go for the girl/guy that will complete them.
often if guys acted as characters in love stories women would think they were obsessed, stalkers, weird, moving to fast. I've heard of guys attempting things done to win over or re win thier love interest and it typically has gone over poorly. I think that there is a fine line of how Cinematically romantic a guy can actually act. yea maybe guys should show more appreciation but E.C. is a lunatic
I think there are some things you can take away from the movie that are good, though everyone gets that Bella and Edward are both idealized characters. I think the idea that people should wait for someone who is really in to them and that both parties to a relationship should be in to each other is great.
The idea that people can and should make sure they are with someone they enjoy without any sex involved. Beyond that the movie is just a yummy (from a girls perspective) romantic escapist treat to have fun with but nothing more.

because if all boys were as perfect in character as Edward Cullen life would be BORING yeah it's a nice dream but being not perfect with a 100% perfect guy that never does anything wrong would just cause problems...I think that everyone is unique in their own way and that dating someone that perfect would just get old, yeah sure you wouldn't have to worry about them doing anything wrong because their just "perfect"
But how can you define "perfect" when everyone's opinion on what is attractive in the opposite sex (or same sex depending on your preference) rather varies?
I mean sometimes we have the similar likes in someone as someone else but in the end our level of "perfection" in the interest varies drastically.
So maybe Twilight Edward Cullen is perfect to you but I think he has his own flaws in reality.
How could you like that guy? did you see the way he walked at the mtv movie awards he looked very insecure. I think you guys like the character in the movie not the actual actor. Yeah right you wouldn't like that, I bet if I stayed up on a tree staring at a girl through the window like in the movie I would get the police on my ass lol.
Edward just gave off that mysterious vibe in the movie I guess that's why you girls like him.
A lot of real guys are like Edward Cullen. Maybe not rich with perfect looks but in the ways that should count.
Why does it need to be on a big screen for girls to SEE it? Chances are, ladies, you've got an Edward or a Jacob in your life but they don't look like Robert Pattinson or drive a luxury car so you don't see him.
Never saw the move but from what I hear he's always saving her from something and even bossing her around. The reason this guy can't be more like Edward Cullen is that his behavior is morally wrong. I would rather die than do that (I'm serious about that)
I know that there are many guys who are kind, understanding & extremely loyal. They also have the looks. It's actually pretty f***ed up that you say this because these guys are the guys who are always seen as boyfriend material, but they never do get many (or quality) girls. I've been told by at least 12 girls that their boyfriends aren't nice enough, but they tell people like me that I'm too nice & that they respond to jerks. Get your head straight.
Hmmph. Heaven, huh? Why, why, WHY would you want ALL GUYS to be the same as a fictious
character? I haven't seen the movie, or read the novel but the way that everyother guy acts is what makes him unique. The way I act makes me unique. I have zero desire to be like someone else, I'm happy with who I am, period. But as far as the way he treated the girl, look around you. As has been noted, there are a lot of guys like that. I hope I didn't get too far off track
I'm glad men like that are rare, because he's an abusive sack of sh*t that deserves to live alone for eternity.
And Edward Cullen is a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. Are you that obsessed that you literally think that's what relationships are like? Well, you're sorely mistaken.
Meh, You don't really want a guy like that. Real men are so much more rewarding.
Also, men shouldn't be expected to be more like Cullen just like women shouldn't be expected to be more like...whoever it is that men like these days. We should only expect for the other person to be themselves. We should love each other for who we are not because we wish they were more like a fictional character in a Hollywood movie.
I'm a Twilight fan and I love the books and the movie Edward Cullen is hot his lines are really cute and sweet. Yes I would want a guy to say some but I wouldn't like all the drama he brings with him. I would want a guy who would actually be there for me and not leave me in the woods crying.
That wasn't cool! I think there is a Twilight Edward Cullen out there for every girl but it's what the girl wants in the guy not a character from a book and movie
The ratio of guys to girls in the world is roughly 50/50. if your statement about there being an Edward Cullen for every girl out there then that would have to mean every guy would be perfect. but because there's so many jerks and abusive A$$holes out there you know that's not true.
Ok ur right abt how some guys r, I meant tht a girl looks for different qualities in guys tht others don't. I didn't mean tht he would b perfect because honestly no one is. If he was perfect what would draw you to him. I at least would want someone who had something tht wasn't good only because it could b mysterious/cute/etc. Each girl wants something different not the same as everyone else.
First of all, I've read the book but not seen the movie. Second of all, he is only described as "perfect" and "gorgeous", etc, and there is no detail. So it is rhetorical to say why arent' guys like him (looks wise) because he doesn't even have features, he is just "perfect". Secondly, in the book he shows every pattern and sign for being an abusive boyfriend, and it is sad that it is teaching girls to go for guys like this. He's like a normal guy except that he wants to eat her face.
I actually never got the appeal of Edward. He seems like a self-obsessed post-melodramatic prudent asshat, to me. Otherwise, I'm a movie character just like him, so I am a bit like that, hahahaha.
Also, to be noted, this is the first thread I've seen that says 'More than a year ago'. Awesomeee.
Look hun, noo guy in the world is exactly like him, he's fictional, not just the vampire stuff but in evrything else too. Guys won't be like that because they aren't, they all have a flaw that you'll despise or dislike. You can't help it, It's just Human Nature. It's not healthy for women too be so caught up int here stories, I mean it's great to read and all but to believe that there would actually be a guy exactly like Edward Culllen, it's impossible, And us, woman, put our expectations high and that actually makes it harder for both mean and woman to find love, Men's expectations are lower, Wayy, Lower, I'm not saying we should have the expectations of a goldfish but you can't expect evry guy to be like Edward Cullen. And Not every girl likes guy like Edward Cullen. :) Hope I helped :)

I agree with both of your statements! [the girls passing great guys and the girl's make-up.]
Why would you even comment on the way she looks?
no1 asked ur opinion, so it doesn't need to be said
I think she's pretty nd it's pathetic that you felt the need to add that
ignorant comment into it because it has nothing to do with the topic
clearly ur one of those people who says sh*t like that to make yourself feel better
thats sad
Whatever; I'm probably just saying what's on most people's minds.
Lol you're ugly. wheres your picture? that's what I thought. thanks =]
I'm just doing you (and society at large) a favor. I said the make-up is garish, not YOU. In general, when I see girls with so much make-up, I just think they'd look much better without it.

Exactly
If a guy ever did the things "Edward" did in that movie a restraining order would follow SOOOO fast....

The world would be full of stalking sparkling weirdos .
Imagine waking up in the middle of the night and seeing that there's like 10 guys watching you sleep?
i doubt you would smile
Fuckin hilarious!
Bravo. You made my day.
LOL.
Welll....if they were all good looking and not- super creepy- then yes I would smile
After you scream maybe , but how can anyone that watches you sleep all night long not be creepy?
HAHAHAHA!!!!!
Dude.. that was some funny sh*t haha.
LOL
Oh hell yeah

Think about it.
We could have Edwards and Jacobs In our life but we never see them because they never let us see them. Their always hiding.
Never saw the move but from what I hear he's always saving her from something and even bossing her around. The reason this guy can't be more like Edward Cullen is that his behavior is morally wrong. I would rather die than do that (I'm serious about that)

on this one-
:) you're not off trac :) you're right on the spot
to be honest, guys like the character Edward Cullen DO EXIST!
I had a guy that was exactly like him, acted EXACTLY the same...and like in "new moon" - he left me...and still hasn't come back...
You don't want a Edward, as much as you love him and don't want to let his love go...
Im looking for my Jacob, because 'Edward' hurt me so bad.
I'm glad men like that are rare, because he's an abusive sack of sh*t that deserves to live alone for eternity.
