Well, I loved Twilight, but I don't think is realistic to want a man to be like Edward Cullen.  There are some men who are eccentric like him, but there are only so many.  I think you are right about everyone secretly wanting to find someone who loves them sincerely, but don't make your expectations too high or you will only disappoint yourself.  If I could aim for the sky, I'd actually pick Bruce Banner.  He is intelligent, caring, & tries to make a difference in the world.   And in desperate situations, he could turn into the Hulk & stop the bad guys, lol.  Then he'd turn back into a nice & gentle man.  In reality, I like all types of guys as long as they treat me & others with respect.

Because some of us love when guys have flaw. Makes em more human. I'm not sayin that they are all stupid but some are. You really expect guys to sparkle? Rly? I'd Find that gay. Plus no one chooses how they look. Guys can't just go and say "yieh I wanna be smoking hot". Ooh by the way Edward is fake, not true and a foment of imagination.

so bottom line " I don't love him because he's perfect, I love him because his flaws make him perfect". Plus I always prefered Jacob. He always seemed more manly

6, 11, 15, 24, and 25 (although looks DO matter AS WELL) are me. 12 totally depends on who YOU are and what you have in common with him. 18 is unrealistic, but it doesn't mean he will cheat on you. He can see other girls and think they are pretty but never, ever think that he would like to be with anyone else, which would also be me when I love someone. And 34 would mean he is a dependent saddo who you would probably break up with because of this, no matter what you might think.

I don't know what it is about those Twilight books. I've read them all, but I really don't think there's anything special about the way she writes and I can't figure out why they were so addicting in the first place. I guess it's the concept or something. Anyway, I'll answer your question. Edward would be fun to have around for a few weeks, but in the long run? Who really wants a guy like that? I mean, I remember reading it and liking how perfect he was in the book, but I would never carry him around as my image of the perfect guy in the real world. If I take him out of the books I find him attractive, but too over-bearing and weird. He's fine for Bella, but he's not for me lol

I like different, not overly perfect. Ever notice in the books how Bella always felt terrible compared to him? Well, in reality that will lead to breaking up. So, I am completely happy with the flaws in every human being(:
