I don't! I can't swim myself...so what happens if we're on a boat and it sinks? I don't plan on reaacting the Titanic, and Jesus tends to take his precious time when you call for him in emergencies like this...ssooooooo somebody better save me! Lol.
But really, I guess it's the whole damsel in distress type of thing. It makes guys feel heroic or something...like the protector. It makes us feel good to be in charge.

You are putty in their hands - like taking you to a horror show so you cling to them for protection/comfort. You are at their mercy, they are the champion, you are not a threat/critic you are "impressed" (they think).
Parallel Joke:
I could only marry a virgin because I can't stand criticism ...
They like how helpless you look. They want to be able to teach you since guys love being in control and teaching girls how to do things. Also they just enjoy seeing you in a swimming suit and getting their hands on you to help.
LOL, same answer I get from guys when I tell them I can't swim! I think everyone's right: they like to be the hero. But the touching her body while she's in a wet two piece probably turns them on even more..
maybe because they see a chance of being the hero for you. and we all agree that guys like to be the hero.

It is a little strange, objectively. It is oddly cute, though. For some reason.
Perhaps it's about feeling needed? Something about someone being incapable of such a task generates sympathy. I doubt it works the same way the other way around, unless it's a woman to a child.I really had no idea that this was even a situation that was common enough to be a generality...
Now that the sarcasm is out of the way, I think you've taken a situation you've experienced personally and somehow assumed it is common with everyone else. There's nothing like showing a girl in a clingy wet suit how to move in the water to get a close up view of every single curve she has. And you have to put your hands on her here and there to instruct her..!
simply because men want domination and we like it if women view us as heroes, leaders, lecturers, or anything like that. that is why no matter how many times men call you bother or burden, we always try to find women who are less powerful and seek helps.
i personally would prefer to drive a sport car with a pretty woman beside me, and tell her about technical issues I can handle or solve. that makes me dominant.Well, they want to get you in a bathing suit and get their hands on you as they "teach you to swim."
Same concept as the whole , "here I'll show you how to play pool", or, "here, I'll show you how to swing a bat."You can't swim away. Just joking its because you're helpless and guys like to protect girls fr some reason.
Because they are thinking about how helpless you are and how they can "rescue" you from your inability to swim. Maybe?
As creepy as this sounds...they are endeared by your helplessness (being unable to swim). Guys by default nature are protective so you being unable to swim flared up that primal urge.
men have an instinct of being the ''providers'' .. .. and they thrive in that role. Basically you have ignited a switch inside them .
Never heard a guy say its cute lol. I can't swim either, that sucks!
Maybe its just because you're adorable and not because you can't swim.
I can't swim and nobody has ever said I was adorable. My advice to you would be to learn how to swim. It's down right dangerous to be in the water if you can't swim. How did you reach 18-24 years of age without learning?
It's a legitimate excuse to get hands on with you while you're in a swim suit/bikini.
I have no idea. I've never heard if that before. Probably an excuse to get to know you and teach you I guess
I didn't know about this...I can't swim too
no one has ever said that to me
Because they like damsels in distress
They do?
