Why do I push away good guys?

I'm 19 and happen to know that a few guys have been into me recently. But I run away every time, even though they're good guys. I keep telling myself that they're not the right guys, meanwhile the guy I DO like wants nothing to do with me. What's wrong with me? Should I give these guys a chance, or would that be leading them on? I also hate the thought of settling, it makes me feel weak.

I was exactly like that a year ago, I talked to some nice guys and two weeks later, I just didn't care too much for them anymore . This was around the time I had the BIGGEST crush on this guy, and he could almost careless about me. It took a few months for me to move on from him. Those guys you are talking to are probably great, but everyone always wants what we can't have, it's in our nature. If you give those guys a chance, they would end up feeling led on. I have done that so many times because they are good guys, and I felt obligated to. If you aren't interested in that guy then you don't need to talk to him, and THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. You want what you want. Don't settle for anything less then you deserve. The right guy will come around for you, I promise that:)

well I think you are afraid f losing yourself in them and then get hur, I would get a therapist to work my problems out.

It's your brain, you figure out why you're doing the things you do. That's your job, not someone else's.

As for giving them a chance, sure, one or two dates with them couldn't harm things. But a bit of advice, make it clear that this is just a date and you're not looking for anything serious.

It's okay to test the waters from time to time.

Don't lead him on! I've had a girl done that to me and I still feel so hurt till this day
