Met a guy online, why won't he give me his number?

I met this really great guy online almost 2 months ago. We've talked everyday since, usually all day. We even video chat for hrs at a time a couple times during the week. We get along great and have awesome chemistry. We both like each other a lot, unfortunately we're at opposite ends of the country. I just want to know why he won't give me his phone number. Is he married or has a gf? He says no but it's just odd...

if you asked for his number and he does not give it to you, then:

1) he has a relationship

2) he does not really like you

Whether is 1) and/or 2), he only wants to have virtual fun. He is too far away anyway, move on and find a real man closer to you.
