-What pain to expect
-How small must the gauges be so that you can take them out and they'll close up, just in case
-How you care for newly pierced ears
-Any other tips
Thanks!
gauges will shrink back if you stay under a certain number (I can't remember off the top of my head), leave a month inbetween healing and stretching and clean the hole every few days to prevent infection and overcleaning. if you stretch up under a month your ears can 'blow out' which means the skin will split and theyll bleed and become sore so you'll have to downsize, baby the ear to heal it and then try again whichll be harder to do with scar tissue
pierced ears will sting a bit when done, its nowhere near as bad as a proper piercing or a tattoo. if youve been stung by a bee you'll know itll hurt less to get your ears done.
NEVER get your ears pierced with a piercing gun, it means the place isn't professional and aren't using the proper equipment (unless you timetravel back to the 90s to get this done lol), piercing guns cause more trauma around the piercing site which means longer healing times and more chance of rejection, although lobe piercings are rarely rejected anyway. it should be done with a hollow needle.
care for newly pierced ears - salt and boiled water solution, rinse your ear and use a cotton bud to wipe it clean once a day maximum, any more and you can make it sore and slow healing times. if it gets infected go to the doctors or your piercer, continue the salt washes or apply treatment recommended by doctor
1. Ear piercing is painless to me. Don'tget it done with a piercing gun though. It tears your ear rather than cutting it like a hollow needle and it causes trauma.
2. The smallest size gauge to stretch towould be a size 0. After that they don't usually stretch back.
3. Do sea salt soaks 2-3 times a day for a week or so. Alcohol and peroxide can be too harsh and actually prolong healing. And also DONT TOUCH THE PIERCING meaning don't play with it.
4. Other tips? When you stretch your ears wait a month in between the next size. And never skip sizes. Patience is a verture :) I can't stress that enough. If you have trouble getting the next taper or plug in, take a warm shower try using some Vaseline.
My ears are stretched just past 1" and I personally have no regrets.

It's a little pinch, after stretching or gauging your ears and them being healed, which doesn't take too long they won't go back. I just have pierced ears and after the healing process I haven't worn earrings in like a year and the holes are still there. Now there are earring that look like you gauged your ears but it's just a regular earring perhaps do that so you don't have big holes in your ears forever
The only thing I can think about gauges is think about the aize you want when you are 50, the ears don't shrink back from what I understand.
It won't hurt as much as you think it will
