Guys - When a guy says "give me a call sometime", what is he really about?

So this guy asks about me, talks with my family then months later when I contact him by email to say hello, all he has to say is "really nice talking to you, give me a call sometime" Honestly, what the hell does that even mean? If he really wanted to talk wouldn't he just ask for my number (I replied by giving him my # but he never called)?

He's open to explore and have some fun with you if you call, but he doesn't really like you enough for a relationship. You'd be the one pursuing him and it would basically suck, you doing all the work, cooking, etc.

If you're just looking to have some fun yourself, he's your guy.

I agree, but this is a guy who admitted to liking me around 4 years ago and was able to tell me everything we talked about then and wanted me to see him when we spoke 2 years ago, so I honestly don't get why he would treat me like this now...

Some people mature in some weird ways... maybe he's thinking you only didn't get together back then because he was a wimp and is now trying to compensate somehow. It doesn't mean you saw him like that, but guys tend to think that's the source of all evils.

Perhaps you can go ahead and just ask him directly what's his deal, since you seem to have that openness to discuss things?

I really wanted to ask him what he was thinking that's why I reached out to him in the first place but I sent that email almost 2 months ago and none of us called/text so to contact him now would be pointless... I think I am just going to let this one go. Him not calling already speaks volumes anyway...

I suppose that's the best decision.

If you were pretty open with each other and you want closure or some answers, you could always try contacting him again. Who knows why he didn't reply? But even if you do, yeah, you shouldn't expect anything marvelous out of it.

I don't know, while I want closure, I don't want to be the one chasing him. In his email, he said I could see him "anytime I wished" which for me was a sure sign that he wanted me to go after him that is why I gave him my #, to see if he really wanted to talk. Since he hasn't called, I will leave it at that. And who knows, even if we do talk I may never get what I'm looking for. I would much rather not get the closure I need than be constantly seeking his attention...

Talking to someone on the phone is more personal and intimate than emailing.

He is interested in you in a more-than-friends way. Call him if you're interested. :)

If he is interested as you are suggesting then why do you think he hasn't he called yet? Mind you, this was almost 2 months ago...

Some men only communicate by phone call. Girlfriends who are repeat violators are dumped.
